

The Madison County WIN Job Center serves the job seekers and the employers of Madison and surrounding counties. Located in Canton, in the original Nissan training facility, the Center is one of the largest in the state in terns of square footage and the only Center to house a large variety of Partner agencies.
It features a large, user friendly Resource Room equipped with computers, fax machines, copies, and lots of resource materials to help people search for jobs, inquire about training, get their GED and access community information.
As a true "One Stop" WIN Center, the approximately 24,000 sq. ft. facility, houses twelve (12) different agencies which offer services from transportation to meeting space.
The current Partners include:
- MS Department of Employment Security (MDES), MDES Unemployment Services, an MDES Veterans Representative and an MDES Youth Transition Coordinator
- MS Department of Rehabilitation
- MS State University Extension Service
- MS Department of Human Service/TANF Work Program
- MS Regional Housing Authority VI
- Job Corps
- Holmes Community College GED classes
- Friends of Children of MS On-site Child Care for those utilizing services in the building
- CMPDD Child Care Certificate Program
- Dress of Success Jackson
- MS Center for Legal Services
- Madison County Human Resource Agency/Transit Hub
Those services and amenities for employers include:
- Place job orders
- Interview applicants in private interview rooms
- Have applicants tested or screened for job qualifications through a variety of assessments
- Use of several meeting rooms
- Use of a state-of-the-art Teleconference Room
- Workshops geared to employer/employee topics
For the job seeker and others the Center offers:
- Information on the local labor market
- Access to a variety of job seeking resources including internet job searches
- Access to phone, copier and fax services
- Assistance with resumes and application development
- Workshops on Job Readiness Skills, computer classes and others
- Access to a variety of career and aptitude assessments
- Services for laid-off workers
- Access to a full-time Veterans Representative
- Assistance with clothing through Dress for Success
- Vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities
- Assistance to needy families with children through the TANF Work Program
- Basic skills and GED classes on-site
- Transportation services to and from the Win Job Center and surrounding areas
- Housing assistance
- Legal services
- Access to agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences and 4H youth development
- Childcare certificates assistance
